“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Sometimes I get really excited about something, whether it’s reading a new book or scrolling outfit ideas on Pinterest, and I don’t know when to stop. It’s like I enjoy myself so much that I want to cling to it! It’s the same thing with my morning and evening routines. They provide me with structure and self care but when I just do the same things every day there’s no room for new exciting things to happen.
So this past week I’ve been setting the intention in the morning that I will do whatever God leads me to do, and it turned out to be not a whole lot! One day I rested and napped all day, which at one time would have made me feel bad for my “lack of productivity”. There is a time to rest just like there is a time to work. We tend to pack our schedules with more and more “stuff”, but it’s just as important to just let life unfold how it wants to and know that it is exactly what is supposed to happen.
