We’ve all heard the adage, “Dream big”, but then when we do dream big, self doubt gets in the way. This is can be seen as somewhat of a safety mechanism. Your brain wants to predict possible outcomes to help keep you safe. So when you are “dreaming big” and imagining great things for your life, there may be an underlying hint of vulnerability and doubt. What if it doesn’t turn out how I want it to? After all, we’ve all experienced disappointment before to some degree.

One of the synchronistic messages I’ve been receiving lately is that your thoughts and mindset create your reality. When we can learn to sit with the doubt and learn that vulnerability is safe, we can choose to be optimistic instead. Also, relinquishing control to God and trusting that everything works out for our highest good reminds us that no matter what happens it is exactly what was supposed to happen. If everything that happens is for my highest good, then I’ve got nothing to lose by being optimistic. And in my optimism, anything is possible, even my biggest dreams. I leave the details to the Creative Intelligence of the Universe and can trust that I am lovingly supported in all I do.
