There was no Jesus, just Christ. I’m not trying to debate whether or not the man truly existed. The Christians claim that Jesus lived a “perfect” life because he was sinless. His disciples and many others that knew him could see that God was in him. Why? In the Jesus character in the Gospels, there was no fear, only love. In him was no condemnation, only mercy, and no doubt, only faith. These characteristics are what we know God to be. He didn’t partake of any of the 7 deadly sins because they are sins of the flesh (self).

Jesus tries to teach us that we can live just like he did, if we can overcome these same things: fear, condemnation, doubt. These things are not real, we make them up in our minds. My fear is not your fear is not your brother’s fears etc. Once we see that the fear, the condemnation, the doubt, emotions and desires are not “real” and that they are just products of our mind we then can choose to change our minds.

Jesus lived without those creations of the mind and without them, there was no doubt that God was in him because God is none of those things. When we realize that Christ is in us and that all the fear, doubt, condemnation is something that the self created and are not real, they lose their power over us and we too can live as just Christ.
